by admin on Jun.05, 2010, under Uncategorized

Eloise is a lesser known story of a bygone era when medical care began as a charity and evolved into a state owned facility that cared for thousands of souls following the turn of the century, Eloise was an institution obscured by decades of misinformation and misunderstanding. To this day the self sufficient community of Eloise remains largely unrecognized for its many noteworthy medical science contributions and its unending goodwill and charity to the residents of Michigan.

Michigan based Producer/Director Matt Roman has complied a unique documentary of an immense institution, known simply as Eloise that depicts its history and evolution as an early medical community rich in science, innovation, and health care.

Born and raised at the Eloise complex, Mrs. Betty Zimmerman offers a rare, first-hand glimpse of what it life was like at this unique facility that opened its doors to hundreds of thousands of patients and those in need of care, compassion and shelter.
